Meet the team

Amadeus Wilson
Amadeus started his career at SPF in 2013 having previously worked as a successful trader with experience in Spread betting, equities, futures, Forex, dealing with professional and retail clients.
Often quoted in the financial press, Amadeus is well respected both within the industry and amongst clients. Having a strong background in the financial markets and term debt, enables him to provide a well-rounded service and always put his client’s needs at the heart of what he does.

Laura Toke
Laura started her career in property finance in 2014 working for HNW brokerage, Enness Private Clients, where she quickly obtained her CeMap qualifications and began advising on bridging and commercial loans. She joined SPF Short Term Finance in 2015, attracted to their market leading reputation in the industry as a bridging broker and packager.
At SPF Laura has advised on 100’s of transactions including auction, development finance and commercial loans. Laura is now a relationship director at SPF focusing on origination and introducer relationships. .

Jake Manns-Benson
Jake joined SPF in 2019 after being a successful mortgage broker at London & Country. Wanting to further his career and work within the specialist lending space, Jake embarked on a career with SPF.
Since joining SPF Jake has been a key member of the team successfully completing many large ticket transactions and building a strong network of clients and introducers. Jake’s key strengths are commercial and development finance, and larger bridging transactions.

Frank Clarke
A much loved member of the SPF team, Frank started his career at SPF in 2016, when he was just 17 years old. Having worked in mortgages for 2 years and obtaining his CeMap qualifications he moved over to the short term finance team as he felt he would be well suited to the fast paced nature of bridging.
Frank provides invaluable support to the head of desk and will look to take on an advisory role in years to come.

Beth Banks
Beth started in the mortgage industry in 2016 at brokerage CMG advisers, providing support to one of the senior partners. She has also worked at one of the big five accountancy firms BDO, working within the corporate international tax team.
Beth joined SPF in 2019 as a client relationship manager, and passed her CeMap exams in 2021. She supports the brokers within the bridging team, chasing cases through to completion and liaising with clients to ensure they are kept up to date throughout the process.

Sally Carter
Sally started at SPF as a client relationship manager on the mortgage desk to some of the senior directors and has seen the ups and downs of the market, including the credit crunch and also help set up the Savills Chelmsford office.
Sally is known for her excellent organizational and people skills and provides invaluable broker support. She knows the bridging industry inside out which enables her to hand hold clients through the process.

Georgie Lanario
Georgie has been in the bridging industry 15 years, starting as the head of Marketing and business development at a major bridging lender. She has also worked as a business development manager at packager first 4 bridging.
Georgie joined SPF in 2015 as a business development manager within the bridging team. She progressed to key account director in 2017, and now managers the main stakeholder relationships within SPF including our estate agency partnerships.

Nancy Maher-Brill
Nancy has extensive experience within the property finance industry starting out at estate agency Emoov, where she worked as a consultant for 2 years. Nancy has also worked for packager and specialist brokerage Brightstar.
Nancy is a much loved member of the team and is a real team player always helping her colleagues when needed. She knows the specialist finance industry inside out and easily builds report with clients, she is also fully CeMap qualified.

Jaime Harris
Jaime started her career in banking in 2003 and joined the broker side of the mortgage industry in 2012 by initially working for a high net-worth brokerage. Following a short stint at a bridging lender, she launched a new brokerage, taking care of a large London agency and their clients.
Relationships have always been at the core of Jaime’s roles. Joining SPF in 2018, Jaime works with private client partners such as accountants, lawyers, fiduciaries and banks and also manages SPF’s relationship with one of the biggest property agents in the UK.

Saved an auction Purchase
SPF Short Term Finance and Together have completed a £430,000 bridging loan to rescue an auction purchaser who was let down at the last minute by another broker.

£3.5M Regulated Loan for Ground Up Development
Our client had purchased a house in Cheshire that he wished to redevelop, significantly increase the value of the property which he intended to move into.
Works included converting the property back to a single dwelling from flats, a single story extension, and build of a new dwelling separate to the main house.

£5.465M Bridging Loan To Fund 100% of Purchase price for mixed use site In Dalston
Our client an experienced investor and developer with a portfolio in east London, approached SPF for a net loan of £5M to purchase a mixed use development in Dalston and raise funds for the development of the site. They required 100% of purchase price, and 100% of development costs, using a building with planning for a hotel as additional security.

BRIDGE AGAINST LAND ARRANGED WITHIN 3 DAYS
The client was a developer and needed finance to purchase land, but was let down by another lender just days before the deal was due to complete.

Auction Purchase £1.1M
SPF Short Term Finance worked closely with Funding 365 to secure auction finance within 2 weeks and the loan was arranged at a highly competitive rate of 0.59% per month.
